On November 4–5, AGENSO, took part as a project partner in the Kick-off Meeting of the AWARE project, titled “Advancing Women's Employment in the Agri-Food Sector through Re-skilling and Empowerment.” The meeting took place in Palermo, Sicily, and was kindly hosted by the project coordinator, CESIE.
The AWARE project aims to reduce long-term unemployment among disadvantaged women, including migrants, survivors of gender-based violence, and mothers living in rural areas. Supported by an international partnership of employment stakeholders, VET providers, research institutions, and public and non-profit organisations, AWARE seeks to promote sustainable and fair employment opportunities for women. Through community-driven collaboration, the project also strives to enhance their social inclusion and long-term empowerment.
As a partner, AGENSO contributes to the project’s mission to foster sustainable and fair employment opportunities for women in the agri-food sector and to promote their broader social inclusion through re-skilling and empowerment.
