Within the framework of the project “Smart City Development Actions in the Municipality of Larissa,” the Municipality of Larissa proceeded with the installation of AGENSO’s modern automatic irrigation systems for the more effective management of urban green spaces throughout the city.
The AGIoT-1560 systems control electrovalves and are equipped with soil moisture sensors, through which irrigation is fully automated. Based on sensor measurements, the actual water needs of plants are accurately calculated and the appropriate irrigation dose is applied, contributing both to optimal vegetation growth and to water resource conservation.
This initiative represents a significant step toward strengthening sustainability and environmental management, leveraging smart technologies that improve citizens’ quality of life and enhance the city’s green character.
